It
is in our belief that Vital signs monitoring is a system that will have crucial
benefits in the society. A patient’s care and well-being is what all hospitals
need to achieve. This project will help a doctor to monitor a patient when he
is not in the patient`s room. If a patient is in abnormal condition controller
detects that and display message on LCD to the doctor room and send text
message to a doctor, so he can immediately respond for treatment. As a summary,
the presented monitoring system will be a cost effective, flexible and robust
solution supporting a SMS based notification. Although during developing we
face some challenges like Accuracy of sensor readings, coping with the new
technology e.g. GSM and ZigBee module, displaying exact readings from ZigBee to
GSM, some components misbehaving e.g. GSM and sensors, lack of sustainable
project funding for acquiring components required
The
future scope for this project is that the notification will be send only to the
doctor whom the patient consults. That is, the alert send can be made specific.
Also more patient details can be sent along with the patient name and ID
